A Wideband High-Gain Dipole with Impedance and Field Control Structures

Dipoles are favorable in various applications because of their simple and light structure. However, narrow bandwidths low gain values limit usage wideband long-range systems. To solve this problem, paper presents a new method to achieve high-gain for dipoles with embedded double-sleeve bathtub-shaped cavity. The adjusts the dipole’s impedance enforces matching from 4.8 GHz 9.4 GHz. Furthermore, cavity reshapes antenna’s radiation field elevates boresight be above 10 dBi bandwidth 5 GHz, which is 7.75 improvement over 2.15 conventional dipoles. combination two structures creates dipole that features an average simulated realized 11.8 64.8%. Thus, antenna can work efficiently systems its enhanced performances.
